Poster Presentation Guidelines

This information only applies to invited case poster presenters who have been notified of their accepted poster.

Poster Presenters

As a poster case presenter, you are required to prepare a printed poster and display it at the assigned time. As an option, you may also prepare a PDF of your poster and upload the PDF at the Speaker Service Center. If you upload a PDF of your poster, it will be available in the meeting app.

All poster presenters must register for the meeting, with your complimentary access code provided in your acceptance email. Please see additional details and instructions below.

Poster Specifications

  • Printed posters are MANDATORY. Complimentary registration for the poster presenter is conditional on you being at the Welcome Reception to standby and present your poster on Thursday, October 17, 6:30-7:30 PM.
  • The allowable size of the poster is 45” wide and 45” high. You must keep your poster within these dimensions. There will be two posters on one side of a poster board.
  • There is no required format for your poster. However, we recommend that you include your introduction, clinical case, and discussion text that you included in your submission.
  • Please include the title of the case, your name, and institution on the poster.
  • Please note that we cannot allow poster presenters to make special requests for a different date or time to put up their poster, the schedule is final.

Poster Set-up and Take-down

  • Please arrive between 4:00 PM and 6:15 PM on October 17 to hang your poster.
  • You may leave your poster up for the remainder of the course, but if you wish to take it home with you, it must be collected no later than 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 19, or it will be THROWN AWAY.
  • DO NOT leave your poster holder or any personal items on the floor by your poster. We cannot guarantee the security and safety of your property if you leave it unattended, and it may be discarded.

Printing

Poster presenters are responsible for the cost of printing and shipping their posters. SCAI does not offer printing services, and the conference hotel has no business center. We suggest using a local print shop in the DC area if you wish to avoid traveling with your poster.
