Dr. Abbas is an interventional cardiologist with over 15 years experience in coronary, vascular, and structural heart interventions. He is a Professor of Medicine at OUWB School of Medicine in Michigan. He participated in the first Transcatheter Aortic Replacement in the USA. He has authored several articles and book chapters as well as edited a book about the topics of Aortic Stenosis, interventional cardiology imaging, and hemodynamics. He lectures at the American Society of Echocardiography annually on the topic of Aortic Stenosis and degenerated aortic valve prosthesis and presented at multiple national conferences. He has multiple Board certifications in the field of Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He has received multiple teaching awards from the medical school and cardiovascular fellowship program.
