Chris Trimmer | SCAI

As the Vice-President of Membership, Marketing and Communications (MMC) for SCAI, Chris is responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of the MMC strategy and works with an incredible team of professionals to deliver outstanding customer service to SCAI Members and ensure that SCAI is communicating the right information, to the right people, at the right time.

Chris has over 18 years of experience leading on both strategy and the operational management of complex global charitable organisations. As the Principal at Association Evolution, a consultancy that specialises in working with associations, not-for-profits, and professional organisations to grow strategically, Chris helped organisations to decide if an international growth strategy was right for them. Additionally, Association Evolution delivers projects covering change management, business development, creation and implementation of innovative fundraising solutions, market analysis, and strategic communications. Prior to her role at Association Evolution she has held Executive Director roles at three global medical and scientific associations, the International Society for Infectious Diseases which has over 80,000 members worldwide and undertakes disease surveillance, research, education and advocacy to find long-term solutions to global infectious disease challenges; the World Obesity Federation, which is an organisation that represents professional members of the scientific, medical and research communities, comprising of around 30,000 members; and the Society for Experimental Biology, an individual international membership association for academics researching basic science.

Chris has an MBA from the University of Southampton and a BSc in Biology from Royal Holloway University, part of the University of London.  She is a member of the PCMA Executive Board. Chris guest lectures on the Masters in International Association Management run by Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium.
