CVP SCAI Quality Improvement Toolkit

The Cardiovascular Professional SCAI Quality Improvement Toolkit (CVP SCAI-QIT), is an extension of SCAI's successful QIT for cath labs. This tool will provide SCAI Cardiovascular Professionals (CVPs) with a foundation to promote and implement quality improvement processes.

CVP SCAI-QIT includes four modules: 

• Quality Improvement in the Cath Lab (PDF)  
• NCDR, Performance, Measures, and Benchmarking (PDF)
• Staff Training and Certification (PDF)
• Cath Lab Best Practices (PDF)

and two checklists:

• Final Radial Checklist
• Femoral Checklist

The toolkit will be continuously updated by a team of expert authors to ensure the latest quality standards are included. The goal of each module is to stimulate thought and generate action from all team members within each cath lab in order to positively affect patient outcomes.
