PCI Readmission Reduction Toolkit | SCAI

SCAI PCI Readmission Toolkit aims to provide physicians and other members of the cath lab team with information and tactics to reduce readmission following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The goal of this activity is to enable facilities to reduce their readmission rate from baseline. 

Course topics include: 

  • The public health impact of readmissions after PCI
  • Predictors and causes of readmissions after routine PCIs and STEMI
  • Cardiologist-led measures to reduce readmissions after PCI
  • Medication management in the peri-procedural period
  • Reducing PCI complications
  • Same-day discharge

Accreditation Statement

The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation

The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions designates this enduring activity for a maximum of .50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Members of SCAI’s Continuing Medical Education Oversight Committee, clinicians in the field of cardiac catheterization and angiography, reviewed all educational materials and verified that the materials are fair, accurate, and free of commercial bias.
