I received an undergraduate degree from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1981 in Biochemistry. I received my MD from St Louis University in 1985 and did my residency in pediatrics at Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital from 1985-1988. I then entered the Air Force and was stationed at Altus AFB in Altus, OK from 1988-1991. I was the base pediatrician and achieved a rank of Major. I then entered a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Washington University in St Louis/St Louis Children's Hospital in 1991, completing the training in 1994. I then became an attending interventionalist at St Louis Children's Hospital where I have remained ever since. I have been the director of the cardiac cath lab at SLCH since 1995.
