Dr. Elgendy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. He completed his interventional cardiology, and cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida, followed by a vascular intervention fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Elgendy has a strong background in outcomes research and has published more than 200 peer reviewed manuscripts in high impact journals as JACC, EHJ, JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, and Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions. His main research interest includes the impact of various interventions and pharmacotherapies on the outcomes of patients with coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, and acute ischemic stroke, as well as cardiovascular disease in women. His research focuses on clinical research related to meta-analysis, epidemiology as well as outcomes research in acute coronary syndromes, acute ischemic stroke, and heart disease in women.
