Jared M. O’Leary, MD, FSCAI | SCAI

Dr. O'Leary is a structural interventional cardiologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training program at VUMC, and Medical Director for Quality at the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute (VHVI).  Dr. O'Leary completed undergraduate education in Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics training at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital, followed by cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowships at VUMC.  His research and clinical interests include structural heart disease, cardiogenic shock, pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart disease.  Dr. O'Leary oversees the quality improvement portfolio at VHVI as well as Vanderbilt's participation in numerous cardiology registries. The recipient of numerous teaching awards, Dr. O'Leary has been dedicated to medical education throughout his career and particularly enjoys mentoring fellows.  He also serves on the SCAI Structural Heart Disease Council.  When not at work, Dr. O'Leary enjoys spending time with his wife Chelsea, son Sullivan, and the family dog Jones.
