Mazen Abu-Fadel, MD, MBA, FSCAI | SCAI

In August 2019, Dr. Abu-Fadel joined the Oklahoma Heart Hospital Physician Group, one of the largest groups of cardiology in the United States, where he continues to take excellent care of his patients in one of the most highly rated and respected hospital in the nation. Graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the American University of Beirut in 1999. Postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Recipient of multiple awards including Best Intern Award, Best Resident Award as well as being named Chief Fellow in Cardiology. In 2007 joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma, ultimately reaching the rank of Presidential Professor of Medicine. During his tenure at OU, he held the position of the Vice Chief of the cardiovascular section and served as the director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and interventional cardiology. Dr. Abu-Fadel is very dedicated to teaching and training future physicians and served as the Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship and Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency at OU. Served as a principal investigator on multiple investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials. Took part of multiple global health medical missions in Uganda and Lebanon. Lives in Edmond, OK with his wife and three children.
