Iliocaval Venous Thrombosis in a Patient with IVC Filter

A 44-year-old woman with a history of venous thromboembolism, with an IVC filter and off anticoagulation suffers a bilateral iliofemoral DVT. Catheter lysis leads to improved symptoms. In addition to anticoagulation, stenting of May—Thurner Syndrome and retrieval of IVC filter may aid reduce risk of recurrent future thromboembolism.
