Dr. Perwaiz M. Meraj is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiology at Hofstra – Northwell Health School of Medicine. He joined Northwell Health after being trained at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is an interventional cardiologist with a passion for high risk, complex coronary interventions, radial artery catheterizations, has pioneered and led an advanced hemodynamic support team as an Inteventional Heart Failure specialist utilizing percutaneous ventricular support devices, and is extremely active as a TAVR and MitraClip. As a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he sits on the Executive Council for Interventional Cardiology along with a fellowship in the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
