The CMS physician fee schedule proposed rule for CY2022 would make severe payment cuts (estimated 23 percent) to in-office revascularization services. As a result, cardiology, interventional radiology and vascular surgery practices that treat PAD patients may be hurt. If finalized, this proposed rule would unexpectedly create additional burdens on outpatient physicians and other health care providers.
