SCAI is taking its annual meeting to the beautiful waterfront city of Long Beach, California. Take your experience beyond the meeting and explore exciting attractions with your colleagues, friends, and family.

In downtown Long Beach, you will find a variety of restaurants, a colorful shopping district, art museums, rooftop lounges, and more.

Marvel at the over 12,000 species of animals at the Aquarium of the Pacific, located in Long Beach's Rainbow Harbor. It is the largest aquarium in California, with over 360,000 square feet of space to traverse. Visitors will encounter over 100 exhibits, including 19 distinct habitats, allowing you to come face-to-face with some of the Pacific Ocean’s most remarkable creatures.

Stroll through the Earl Burns Japanese Garden and enjoy the beautiful scenery, including a koi pond, waterfalls, a tea house, and a bonsai collection.

Discover the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), which is recognized as the pioneering museum of the Western United States devoted to modern and contemporary Latin American art.

Explore the Queen Mary, a nearly one-century-old ocean liner that is one of Long Beach’s top attractions. Visitors can explore the ship’s halls and learn the history through tours and onboard exhibits.

You will experience varying weather throughout your time in the city, with early May temperatures around the low to mid-70s F during the day and the mid-60s F at night.
