On June 20, CMS initiated its national coverage analysis for TTVR. This opened a 30-day comment period during which CMS requested clinical studies and other scientific information to inform its decisions regarding the creation of a National Coverage Determination. CMS has stated its proposed decision memo should be released by 12/20/2024. 

SCAI has submitted comments in collaboration with the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS), Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC), American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), and Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS). SCAI will await the proposed decision memo and respond accordingly.
