Dr. Amit N. Vora, MD, MPH, is a structural interventional cardiologist and Associate Medical Director of the Structural Heart Program at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in Harrisburg, PA. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Duke University School of Medicine. After finishing his internal medicine training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, he completed general cardiology, interventional cardiology, and structural heart disease training at Duke University Medical Center. He also completed additional research training at the Duke Clinical Research Institute as well as a Master of Public Health Degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. His research interests include optimizing antithrombotic therapy in patients undergoing catheter-based interventions, and he was an investigator in the AUGUSTUS Trial. He has also focused on preventing conduction system abnormalities in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement. He is a member of the SCAI Publications Committee and the STS/ACC TVT Registry Research and Publications Committee.
