Dr. Thomas is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine. He has an active practice as an Interventional Cardiologist at Harbor UCLA Medical Center and is the Director of Interventional Cardiology and the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program. His clinical interests include coronary, peripheral and structural interventions. Dr. Thomas serves as principal investigator in trials studying contrast nephropathy, risk reduction in peripheral vascular disease, and novel diagnostic technologies in coronary atherosclerosis. His research focus includes cardiac arrest and acute myocardial infarction systems of care. He is a lead physician in developing an enterprise-wide integrated cardiovascular information system within Los Angeles County’s Department of Health Services. Dr. Thomas is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed residency training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital followed by general and interventional cardiology fellowships at Harbor UCLA Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital. He holds six board certifications in Medicine, Cardiology and related fields.
