SCAI, as part of the PAD Task Force, urged lawmakers to support the establishment of an intragovernmental workgroup focused on amputation reduction and voiced opposition to the proposed Medicare cuts to PAD treatments. Ehrin J. Armstrong, MD, MSc, MAS, FSCAI serves as SCAI’s representative on the PAD Task Force which is comprised of members from the Association of Black Cardiologists, CardioVascular Coalition, Preventative Cardiovascular Nurse Association and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
