SCAI Government Relations Committee members have actively worked with Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) and Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) to introduce critical legislation (H.R.8505) aimed at preventing cuts to interventional cardiology services under Medicare of up to 10 percent as proposed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). If the legislation is not enacted the proposed Medicare cuts would be implemented January 1, 2021.

SCAI members are strongly encouraged to urge their Representatives to immediately co-sign and support the Burgess-Rush bill (H.R.8505), a bill that prevents proposed Medicare payment cuts planned by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
