Samantha Espinosa, MD, MPH | SCAI

Dr. Samantha Espinosa is a current interventional cardiology fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital and pending CHIP fellow in the combined Mass General Brigham program for 2025 to 2026.

Originally from Orange County, California, she graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2014, majoring in pure mathematics. She attended medical school at the University of Chicago and completed an internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Florida. She also completed a Master's in Public Health through the University of North Florida during a fellowship.

Academically, she plans to pursue research opportunities in complex coronary disease and stent failure, and contribute to public health initiatives at the intersection of interventional cardiology with secondary and tertiary prevention of coronary disease. She is also passionate about promoting patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Espinosa is excited to advance her knowledge and skills in treating complex coronary disease next year, and is grateful for the opportunities to learn through the help of the SCAI WIN CHIP fellowship program.
