SCAI Asks Carelon to Update Clinical Policies on Atherectomy | SCAI

SCAI has sent a joint letter with the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American College of Cardiology, and the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society requesting that Carelon update their clinical policy on atherectomy to reflect current standards of practice.

SCAI hopes that Carelon will update its policy that considers atherectomy not medically necessary for all indications.
