SCAI is protesting new prior authorization requirements from UnitedHealthcare affecting LER procedures. This will affect most of their private plans on July 1, 2020. We pointed out that imposing administrative barriers to care just when physicians will hopefully be beginning to take care of the backlog of arising from the Pandemic could damage patients' health. We were joined by ACC, HRS, SIR, and SVS in this protest.
