On October 3, CMS initiated its national coverage analysis for T-TEER. This opened a 30-day comment period where CMS requested clinical studies and other scientific information to inform their decisions regarding the creation of a National Coverage Determination. CMS has stated their proposed decision memo should be released by April 3, 2025. 

In collaboration with The American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS), American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), and Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), SCAI has submitted comments. 

SCAI will await the proposed decision memo and respond accordingly.
