SCAI and ABC recently teamed up to comment on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) policy toward peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The letter warns CMS that several proposed changes conflict with widely supported clinical protocols involving the importance of early detection and coordinated management of people with PAD. In addition, the comments highlight concerns about CMS policy related to PAD, especially within minority populations and those living in underserved communities.
