SCAI Sends Letter Opposing Proposed Medical Imaging Licensure Legislation in Pennsylvania | SCAI

Last week, SCAI sent a letter of opposition to the Office of State Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-PA) regarding our concern for proposed legislation that would create a State Board of Medicine licensure for all medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals in the state. SCAI urged Senator Schlegel Culver to consider exemptions from licensure for our CV technologists and to defer to the existing CCI credentialing system.

While this is currently only an issue in Pennsylvania, please let us know if you hear of similar legislation being introduced in your state so that we can work to stop it there as well.
