SCAI, along with other medical organizations, signed on to a letter by the American Medical Association (AMA) to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that outlined concerns about a provision in the October 3, 2019, Executive Order entitled, “Protecting and Improving Medicare for our Nation’s Seniors.”  The concern is that the Executive Order would require HHS to propose a regulation to eliminate or weaken current Medicare supervision requirements of nonphysician professionals.
