Dr. Subrata Kar is a Structural and Congenital Heart Disease Interventional Cardiologist. Dr. Kar is the Division Chief of Cardiology and Director of Interventional Cardiology at New York City Health and Hospitals/Coney Island Hospital.
Dr. Kar completed his Structural and Congenital Heart Disease Advanced Interventional Fellowship at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. He completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Kar has published and presented over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts/abstracts on various aspects of cardiovascular and interventional cardiology at multiple national meetings for both cardiology and interventional cardiology.
His research interests include minimal dose radiation, low dose radiation, ulnar/radial percutaneous coronary intervention, dorsal distal radial artery interventions, valvular heart disease, structural heart disease, and congenital heart disease.
