Dr. Dangas is a Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Surgery (Vascular) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Director of Cardiovascular Innovation at the Cardiovascular Institute of the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City, and the Director of the Medical School Course Cardiology. He is a Founding Physician of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in New York City.
Dr. Dangas trained in internal medicine at the Miriam Hospital/Brown University in Rhode Island, and in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
He has authored over 500 publications, including an international referral textbook on Interventional Cardiology Principles & Practice. Additionally, he is a course director and invited/featured speaker in many of the highest ranked cardiovascular conferences worldwide.
Dr. Dangas has received Fellowship distinction in seven national and international professional societies and was a Trustee of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and also of the American College of Cardiology. He is the American College of Cardiology Distinguished Teacher 2017.
