Ranya Sweis, MD, MS, FSCAI | SCAI

I am an attending interventional cardiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Clinical Practice Director at the Northwestern Medicine Cardiology Outpatient Clinic, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. My clinical interests include interventional therapies for coronary artery disease and valvular and structural heart disease as well as cardiac critical care. My research interests include focus on outcomes of cardiovascular interventions, clinical trials of new devices and methods for procedure training using simulation programs. I spend time outside of direct patient care focused on informatics for our hospital as well as my leadership role. I am acutely aware of how important it is to have female mentors. After I joined the faculty in our cath lab, our program has had female fellows pursue interventional cardiology every year and we’ve now hired another female interventional cardiologist.
