SCAI PAC Fundraising Drive Launched to Fight Proposed Medicare Payment Cuts to Interventional Cardiologists | SCAI

As the lone voice representing interventional cardiologists, SCAI's Political Action Committee (SCAI PAC) has launched a campaign on behalf of members to fight proposed Medicare payment cuts that would harm patients and practice during the continuing COVID-19 public health emergency.

Co-chaired by Lyndon Box, MD, FSCAI, and Rick Snyder, MD, FSCAI, the SCAI PAC Committee announced on September 7th its campaign to raise $45,000 by Thanksgiving Day.

Donations made to SCAI PAC will enable the Committee to voice SCAI members' strong opposition to the proposed $7 billion worth of cuts and articulate concerns about their impact on patients and practice to key policy and decision-makers.

Thanks to fundraising, campaigning, and the full support of SCAI's Executive Committee and Board, in 2020/21 $3 billion+ in cuts were averted and Interventional Cardiologists saw a 4.1% increase in Medicare fees in 2021.

Help us continue this record of success in 2021/22 by continuing your generous support and donating to this year's fundraising campaign.

SCAI PAC 2020

In 2020 100% of SCAI PAC contributions went to Members of Congress who supported the increase in physician reimbursement and opposed 2021 Medicare cuts.
