William W. O'Neill, MD, MSCAI | SCAI

Dr. O’Neill is an internationally recognized leader in Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart Disease, as well as a pioneer in research and new techniques to diagnose and treat heart disease.  

Dr. O’Neill is one of just over 50 Master Fellows out of 4,500 world-wide members of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), the professional medical society for invasive and interventional cardiologists.  He has been working on advancing catheter-based treatments of structural heart disease and performed the first trans-caval aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in the United States in 2005. Currently he is organizing new protocols nationally to treat a deadly side-effect of massive heart attacks, cardiogenic shock. In 2019, he received the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions’ (SCAI) Helping Hearts Lifetime Service Award for moral and ethical leadership, excellence in patient care and dedication to the highest professional standards.
