Dr. Chatterjee originated from India and went to medical school at the University of Delhi. He trained at the University of Louisville for medicine and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for cardiology and interventional/congenital training. He stayed on as faculty for 3 years at UAB and has been the director of the structural heart program at Banner University Medical Center Tucson since 2020. His interests lie in the realms of structural and adult congenital interventions and cardiogenic shock.
