Dr. Cox graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB). After serving four years in the National Health Service Corps, he returned to UAB for his general cardiology and interventional fellowships. He practiced in a large cardiology group in Charlotte, NC, for over a decade, where he led his interventionalists to high-enroller positions in many clinical trials and served as national PI for two IC devices. In 2006, he joined a hospital-based cardiology practice at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA, where he serves as Director of Clinical Research for Cardiology and Associate Director, CCL. He enjoys running, biking, learning chess, and spending as much time with his family as life allows and they find him fun to be with. For the past five years, he has served as SCAI Budget and Finance Chair and Treasurer after previously co-chairing the Education Committee.
