Dr. Pinto completed all of his post-graduate medical training at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and serves as the Chief of the Interventional Cardiology Section. He directs the one of the largest imaging core laboratories assisting in numerous clinical trials involving novel coronary, peripheral, mitral, aortic and renal denervation devices. He has a busy complex coronary practice with a specific interest in novel devices, access techniques and cardiogenic shock states. Currently, he is the principal investigator of the first in man study evaluating a novel microaxial flow pump. He has broad experience in left main and bifurcation lesion treatment performing live cases and demonstrating best practice techniques.
