Airport Information
The closest airports to the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC are Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA, 4 miles), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD, 30 miles), and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI, 30 miles).

DCA to Marriott Marquis Washington, DC
SCAI and the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC do not offer shuttle service to and from DCA airport; however, other transportation options are available.
Taxi Service
A DCA taxi dispatcher is available at designated taxi stands to ensure you are placed with a taxi.
- From Terminal 1, proceed out the exit doors at baggage claim and turn right. The taxis are located on the curb closest to the terminal.
- From Terminal 2, proceed to the baggage claim at the lower level (level one). Walk indoors to Doors 5 or 6, then proceed outside to the terminal curbside. The taxi dispatch location is clearly marked.
- All taxicabs accept cash or credit cards.
- View approximate taxi rates from Reagan National Airport.
Ride-share Pickups
(Uber, Lyft) are located at the lower level on the curbside, furthest out from the terminal doors.
Metrorail service
The Washington, DC, Metrorail system has an elevated Metrorail station connected to the concourse level of Terminal 2 Reagan National Airport. The Metrorail system provides easy and affordable access to Washington, Virginia, and Maryland locations. Mt. Vernon Sq. 7th St-Convention Center is the closest metro stop to the hotel, about a 5-minute walk.
Getting to the Metrorail station from the Terminals:
- Terminal 1: Exit the terminal to the streetside curb and board any Airport Shuttle bus. At the stops for Terminal 2 or North/South Parking 1 & 2, you can access an enclosed bridge that connects to the Metrorail station.
- Terminal 2: Use either of two enclosed pedestrian bridges on the concourse level, which connect directly to the station.
Getting to the Terminals from the Metrorail station:
- Terminal 2: Go to the north end of the train platform and exit the station. A pedestrian bridge connects directly to the Terminal's Concourse level.
- Terminal 2: Go to the south end of the train platform and exit the station. A pedestrian bridge connects directly to the Terminal's Concourse level.
- Terminal 1: Go to either end of the train platform and exit the station towards the parking garage. Take the elevator or stairway to the street level below and board any Airport Shuttle bus.
- Elevator access: The elevator is located at the center of the train platform. A sloped sidewalk at ground level connects to both pedestrian bridges (follow signs).
Metrorail Fares and Farecards
- Metrorail farecards may be purchased from machines located at all entrances to the Airport Metrorail station. The station is also fully accessible via elevators.
- Farecards purchased before 2012 will not work in the Metro system after February 28, 2022.
- The maximum fare to any station on the Metrorail system is $6 or less when using a SmarTrip card, available for purchase inside the Metro station.
IAD to Marriott Marquis Washington, DC
SCAI and the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC do not offer shuttle service to and from IAD airport; however, other transportation options are available.
Taxis: Washington Flyer Taxicabs exclusively serves Washington Dulles International Airport, offering 24-hour service to and from the airport.
Leaving the Airport:
- No reservations are necessary for taxi service. Simply follow the signs for Ground Transportation or Taxi to the lower level of the Terminal, DOWN the ramp to Door 2 or Door 6. A customer service representative is available 24 hours a day.
- Passengers wishing to board a non-Washington Flyer cab must make advance arrangements directly with the company's operator for pick-up at Dulles. Non-Washington Flyer cab companies are prohibited from soliciting passengers for pick-up on airport property.
- Your trips to and from Dulles Airport might be impacted by tolls on nearby roads.
- Cash or credit card: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted by all cabs.
Coming to the Airport
- Please call 703-572-TAXI (703-572-8294) to make a reservation. They accept reservations anytime, but reservations placed 24 hours in advance are preferred to ensure vehicle availability and timely pick-up.
- Non-Washington Flyer cab companies may drop off passengers at Dulles in accordance with airport regulations.
Ride-share pick-ups (Uber, Lyft) are located on the 3rd curb on the ground level outside of Baggage Claim, accessible via Doors 2, 4, or 6. Numbered and lettered zones (3A-3H) make finding your ride easy.
Metrorail service
The Metrorail station at Dulles is connected to the main terminal by an indoor pedestrian tunnel with moving sidewalks. The tunnel provides convenient access to the airport's ticketing and baggage claim levels. Signs guide customers to the tunnel, linking the terminal with Parking Garage 1. Mt. Vernon Sq. 7th St-Convention Center is the closest metro stop to the hotel, about a 5-minute walk.
BWI to Marriott Marquis Washington, DC
SCAI and the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC do not offer shuttle service to and from BWI airport; however, other transportation options are available.
Taxis: The taxi stands are located just outside the baggage claim area on the Arrivals/Lower Level of the BWI Marshall Airport terminal near Doors 5 and 13.
Please note that this service is available only for rides originating at BWI Marshall Airport.

Ride-share Pick-ups (Uber, Lyft): App-based ride services pick up and drop off passengers along the outer curb of the Departures/Upper Level between Doors #5–12. Crosswalks leading to the outer curb are located near Doors 5, 8, and 12.
Rail Service
- From Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport: You can take a shuttle from the airport to the MARC rail station and take the MARC train to Union Station. From there, transfer to Metro's Red Line.
- To Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport: You can take Metrorail from your nearest station to Union Station on the Red Line. From there, take the MARC train to the airport, where a shuttle takes you directly to the airport.
